ReplyDeleteFH and I don't do much for Valentine's day, normally just dinner out. Sadly, though, FH'll be working and I will have schoolwork to do.
Oh, also! I would LOVE to see a peach/cameo pink, chocolate brown, and gold color scheme. I can't seem to find one anywhere!
ReplyDeleteI'll be spending Valentine's with my handsome fiance- just a quiet night on the couch with some homemade enchiladas!
ReplyDeleteMy perfect color palette would be teal, cream, bronze, and a dash of pink
ReplyDeleteMy Fiancee and I are taking a trip to GOA, which is a beach town in India. We are living in India for 6 months as he teaches tennis, and we spent our first xmas here last month. We loved it so much we decided to go back for the lovers holiday!
ReplyDeleteNot sure what Valentine's Day will be like for my honey and I--it may fall within one of his bouts of working swing shift this year. :( But we always make sure to have cards for one another, at the very least.
ReplyDeleteOh, and you know my palettes already! We fell in love with your stars and beach one you made for us.
ReplyDeleteValentine's Day is my birthday so this year I'll be baking myself a tasty birthday treat, spending the evening with my fiance (it's a Monday, so I'm not sure right now if we'll go out or stay), and wearing red with pride.
ReplyDeleteAs for color palettes, I'd love to see more jewel tones--deep purples, royal blues, etc.
ReplyDeleteI also gave you a shout out and added you to my blog reel! Check out www.dreamawakening.blogspot.com to see your awesome board!
ReplyDeleteThanks again for the inspiration!
My fiance and I are are currently in different places, so we'll be apart. :( However, I plan on making lemonade and going out for bbq and bowling with some girlfriends!
ReplyDeleteBlue, orange, and aqua!
ReplyDeleteLove your giveaway! We will probably go to dinner and a movie or something like that!
ReplyDeletevalentine's is usually quiet at home...i hope for more snow so we can stay in a cuddle up and watch crappy movies
ReplyDeletei love really muted colors...greys and creams...maybe with a little rust thrown in
ReplyDeleteAlso I would love to see a pink, silver (grey), and black color palette.
ReplyDeleteThe fiance and I will probably have a low-key Valentine's Day with a home cooked meal. Or a date to White Castle.
ReplyDeleteWe're going to spend Valentine's Day this year doing something less glamorous - just cooking a nice meal and eating it together our soon-to-be shared home! We're still saving for our wedding so we don't want to splurge too much just two months before the big day! It will still be special, though since we'll have those types of dinners to look forward to together the whole next year, and for a lifetime <3
ReplyDeleteI'd love to see a color combination of greens, pinks, and butter yellows. Those are our wedding colors!
ReplyDeleteOh yes and I've blogged about this giveaway! Here is the link: http://sarasbutterflycottage.blogspot.com/2011/01/giveaway-on-inspiring-brides-blog.html. Can you tell I really wanna win? :)

ReplyDeleteI would like to see a wine&berry color palette!
ReplyDeletethe fig and cherries board is amazing. my favorite. I wish figs were a springtime treat......
ReplyDeleteThis year our Valentine's Day is going to be super low key (which I'm actually excited about)! We plan to cook dinner together and then watch a movie by the fireplace with our two huskies. I'm really looking forward to it!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite color palettes are shades of white or navy, kelly green, and white (love the nautical/preppy look)!
ReplyDeleteWe don't have plans for Valentines Day yet.... Hopefully we will go somewhere we haven't been before and have a nice romantic dinner!
ReplyDeleteI would love to see a coral/grey/green color scheme. I just can't seem to get mine to work out the way I'd like.
ReplyDeleteMy fiance and I will be having a quiet Valentine's Day at home, since we are going to NYC the next weekend for a mini-vacation!
ReplyDeleteI would love to see your interpretation of a modern grey, white and nude colour scheme. Those are my wedding colours and it is always interesting to see what someone else comes up with!
ReplyDelete1. My FI's birthday is right next to Valentine's day this year so I am planning on throwing him a homemade Lu'au party!
ReplyDelete2. My color palette will be light/baby pink, cream/ivory, and gold. :D
ReplyDeleteThis V-Day we will probably celebrate with a bottle of wine and a good steak. At home, because every last penny counts with an April wedding coming up!
ReplyDeleteI would also like to see a palette that uses spring green (apple green?) AND a lighter blue (not Tiffany blue)... that combo seems to be rare. Is it because it looks awful?? I sure hope not, that's what we're going for!
ReplyDeleteHonestly, we're probably going to have a nice, home cooked meal and a long walk with our golden retriever this Valentine's Day. We're putting all our pennies into savings for our wedding and a house. :)
ReplyDeleteWhile I've seen a ton of teal color palettes, I haven't seen many that combine it with pink. I would love to see that!
we will be spending our valentines day... probably cooking a meal together and hanging out at home! simple :)
ReplyDeletecolors i would like to see... a color palette using the colors of a pomegranate! i think it is the most beautiful fruit. it would go well with a dusty gold perhaps.

Valentine's Day plans - recreating our first date (which, after rescheduling due to snow, happened to fall on Valentine's day!) - playing in the snow, cooking dinner together, and strolling hand in hand to a coffee shop.
ReplyDeleteFavorite color palette - wineberry and sage (pink and green in a not preppy way!)
ReplyDeleteFavorite board - #129, Chalk and Pearls - I love it!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! My fiance and I are going somewhere special for dinner (he's making the reservation), and i'll probably wake up early and cook us a nice breakfast (heart shaped of course), and maybe have a picnic lunch out at the beach! We both have off work so it should be fun spending time together! :) Valentine's day is my favorite holiday so my fiance alway's makes it special for me too :)

We'll be spending our valentine's day together at home with the TV off, work from home computers put away, and a nice bottle of wine and perfect food. Some real time together to reflect on our relationship and get ready for our wedding in June!
ReplyDeleteI'd like a repeat of last year when we were house-sitting (which we will be again this year) of the FH making me dinner while I hang out in the hot tub with a glass of wine!
ReplyDeleteI like the navy blue/kiwi green/beige color combo a lot
ReplyDeleteThis year, we'll probably cook a dinner together at home - we've wanted to do that for the last few, but were away a few times for work.
ReplyDeleteAs far as color palettes, I'd love to see one that mixes a sea foamy color with peach and pops of brighter colors like coral and hot pink. Thanks for the chance to win!
This Valentine's Day we will probably do the same as last year- a skating date with hot chocolate. :)
ReplyDeleteRight now I am on a blue, red, purple kick. I would love to see a board with any combo of these rich colors...
ReplyDeleteFavourite board- #52 Mismatched Blue and Green

Posted about the contest here: http://notjustbrides.blogspot.com/2011/01/inspiring-brides-contest.html and added a link in my sidebar :)
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to plan a couples massage for me and my girlfriend, or perhaps a weekend getaway to Portland, OR. However, nothing is set in stone at this point! - Rachel S
ReplyDeleteA quite evening where we will cook together. And this valentines day I'll try my best not to set the fire alarm off by burning the chicken but if I do, this year, I will eat the burnt piece.
ReplyDeleteI think we're going to go snowshoeing for Valentine's day!
ReplyDeleteI would love to see a blue and orange color scheme- a bold blue and a vintage orange!
ReplyDeleteI plan to spend my v day with my fiancé by taking and amazing hike to a beautiful look out point and just really being thankful for each other.
ReplyDeleteFH and I usually have a romantic evening in, complete with multi-course home-cooked dinner on Valentines day - who wants to fight the crowds at a restaurant? - and then pick another day to go out for dinner and have our own private Valentines.
ReplyDeleteAnd I would love to see an inspiration board with either sunflower yellow & chocolate brown, with maybe a hint of sage green - ok, that one's being totally selfish, as those are my colours. For totally non-utilitarian purposes, I'd be interested to see a board with deep, burnt orange in it. I love the colour, but have never really seen it in weddings.
ReplyDeleteI am spending my Valentine's Day by going to a Murder Mystery Night with my friends! We are dressing up and playing characters! I seriously can't wait!

ReplyDeleteMy future husband and I don't enjoy crowds so we are going to stay in and make a delicious meal at home. We are lucky to live in a warm climate so he is going to grill steaks outside while I make some delicious sides and dessert in the kitchen.
ReplyDeleteOur wedding palette is based on the Gordon Dress tartan so we are going with dark blue and green with highlights of yellow. I would love to see this palette because I have looked through a number of wedding websites and haven't seen anything that matches our colors!
ReplyDeleteWe will be spending the weekend before Valentines day in DC, celebrating the 25th anniversary of an service organization we're both members of (and through which we met). So, we'll probably relax and home with a nice dinner and bottle of wine.

ReplyDeleteThis Valentines day my love and I will be on separate sides of the country, but will be postponing it until late spring when I return. It's been eons since we've done a picnic, and the gloomy days are making me reminisce.
ReplyDeleteEven though it has become very common of late, my favorite colour scheme is still yellow and grey, with a touch of tangerine. I would love to see a board with those colours.

ReplyDeleteWe're planning on a romantic night in with homemade pasta and little cans of Sofia Coppola champagne. I would love to see a mossy green with deep plum color combo :)

ReplyDeletehttp://backyardbridetoronto.blogspot.com/2011/01/scrabble-overload.html

ReplyDelete1.) This Valentines Day is the first time that I have ever had a Valentine. I am going to be spending it with my Fiance, Ryan. He's been keeping it a secret surprise, so I don't know what we are doing yet. However, I trust him and he knows me better than anyone, so I'm sure that it will be great! =o)
ReplyDelete2.) Color pallets that I would like to see...well, my future sister-in-law is planning her wedding, and this is their theme/colors:
ReplyDeleteorange as the main color (w/ orange bridesmaid dresses), yellow accents, rainbow colored flowers, and a beach/lighthouse/golf theme.
4.) My favorite board is "Monday Funday #8-Starry, Starry Night" because you made that one for my Fiance and I, and I plan to use it as the theme for our wedding!
