Inspiration #72- Sedona Red Rock

I love the idea behind this board! The bride who requested it was inspired by the lovely red rock of Sedona, Arizona. It was fun to come up with a board that reflected the beauty of nature. The bride also sent me an inspiration board she had made that included her wedding dress inspiration and a bird cage veil (which I LOVE). She also wanted to incorporate Bougainvillea, a beautiful hot pink flower that is shown in the center bouquet image on this board.

Inspiration #71- Textured

This inspiration board works with a navy and green color scheme with hints of chocolate brown, pink, yellow and orange. The bride wants to incorporate a lot of texture into her wedding. One way she plans to do that is to dress her two flower girls in tutus! Other ways I incorporated texture was a very textured bridal gown and using fiddle head ferns.

Inspiration #70- Summer Nights in Philly

I was really excited when I got this request since Philly is sort of "my" city. I live in Jersey but we don't have anywhere that really has that city atmosphere and Philly is only a short drive away. So I have a lot of love for Philly :]

Anyway, the bride who requested this board wanted to incorporate mismatched red bridesmaids along with sunset colored details (pink, red, orange and yellow). As for the Philly aspects I thought it would be great to have mini cheese steaks as hor d'ourves and since it seems like everyone rides a bicycle around the city it would be cute to have a tandem bicycle instead of a get away car!

PS- her beagle is going to be part of the wedding too! Love it.

Here's what I came up with:

Inspiration #69- Navy, Apricot, Peach & Pale Pink

This is my first board requested from Wedding Bee! The bride is working with a navy, apricot, peach, pale pink and grey color scheme. They've already picked out the bridesmaids dresses from J. Crew and chose the Erica style in fresh mint. I love the idea of the bridesmaids carrying Baby's Breathe bouquets, they look so fresh and lovely.

Here's what I came up with, hope you enjoy!

Featured! and MIA

I know I've seriously been MIA but I'll be posting a whole bunch of boards soon! I'm still trying to recover from being sick, and haven't really had the time/energy to be online much.

Anyway, one of my boards was featured on Wedding Bee and now the requests are pouring in! I am excited to make all of these boards for the lovely brides who requested them so keep a look out for them :]

Inspiration #68- Just Beachy...

Sorry I've been MIA! I had food poisoning the past two days which was not fun, obviously. But I'm back now and will be posting my boards I had planned for Wednesday and Thursday over the weekend.

Anyway, today's board is a beach themed green and orange board inspired by a photo I found on the blog of Renai Photography.

Inspiration #67- Brighten up a gray day...

Have I mentioned my love of the fairly recent popularization of gray as a wedding color?  Well just in case you didn't know, I'm in love with gray!  Mainly mixed with bright colors, the pop it creates is amazing.  Here charcoal gray is paired with sunny yellow and hot pink.. what do you think?

Inspiration #66- Cherry Blossoms

Another request! This one was from a maid of honor for her sister's wedding next July. She wants to have a silver, black and white color scheme and incorporate cherry blossoms to honor her fiance's Asian heritage. I hope you and your sister like what I came up with!

Inspiration #65- Which will she chose?

I was asked to make two boards: one coral and light blue and the other coral and turquoise. Sometimes its tough to decide which shades work better together! I'm rooting for the coral and turquoise though.

This image is used in the board but I just ADORE this candy buffet with the cutest sign behind it!

Inspiration #64- Pucci Inspired

This purple and aqua color scheme is GORGEOUS! I was inspired by a Pucci inspired set on Brides.com. What do you think?

Theme Thursday #11- Time for a fiesta!

This turned out to be a very fun board!  I thought tiffany, pink and red would be a great color combo for a Mexican fiesta and went from there.  I especially love the passport holders in the top right corner.

Alternative Wednesdays #8- Patterned Shirts!

There is nothing wrong with a black tux for a groom but I think its fun to see the grooms mix it up a bit!  I've spotted a few grooms and groomsmen sporting some awesome shirts, so that's what I thought I'd feature for todays alternative Wednesday.

I don't have a source for this picture, if it's yours or you know where its from please let me know so I can credit them!

Inspiration #63- Tiffany and Chocolate (requested)

I recieved a request for a chocolate and tiffany blue board. This color combo is so pretty!

Real Wedding Love: Toby and Amy's Owl Themed Wedding

My heart just melted when I saw these wedding photos!  I was randomly checking out the Amorology blog (which belongs to the MOST amazing wedding designer Heather), and ran across Toby and Amy's gorgeous and fun wedding.  Plus, their wedding colors are the same as I have picked out!  My favorite touch were all the owl inspired signs, I especially liked the tags on the lollipop favors that read:  "Owl love you forever."  This wedding is just so inspiring to me and I hope it inspires you as well.  All photos by Jason McGrew via Amorology

ps- Heather also took care of Aaron and Pernel's wedding, which was another real wedding I blogged about... I just found out when I was checking out her blog!

Tuesday Engagement Inspiration #10- Hats!

Its fun to see props in engagement pictures.  I really like the idea of wearing a hat, that way both you and your fiance can both have fun with it.  Here are some examples I've came across:

Inspiration #62- Apparently I love food colors!

I really think sage green and orange go nicely together. It's a little more subdued then lime and orange, but it is still a fun choice.

Lovely Color Combo- Purple and Orange!

Purple really makes orange pop!  Love this combo.

Inspiration #61- A funky and rustic chocolate and mustard board...

Sorry for the lack of posts this weekend! We had my sisters bridal shower at our house so I was busy ALL weekend with that. Plus Friday night I was out late at a concert in Delaware, it was a long weekend! Thankfully, the shower went very well and we surprised her which was exciting!

Anyway, this board is a little bit kitschy, a little bit funky and a little bit rustic. I'm really loving rustic touches.. they add an interesting element to the wedding photos. And how freakin' cute is the dog in the bow tie?

Inspiration #60- Soft Romantic Summer

I love how romantic and summery this board came out! It's a little bit vintage as well. I usually love colorful weddings but I love the soft feel of an ivory and champagne wedding. This is the last board for mismatched bridesmaids week!

Theme Thursday #10- Alice In Wonderland

This could be a very fun theme to work with!  There are a million elements that you could incorporate making your wedding more or less themed.  Here are some ideas that I think are lovely:

Inspiration #59- Monochromatic

I am not a big pink person (with the exception of hot pink), but I love coral.  The combo of red, hot pink and coral I used on this board is really striking (atleast in my opinion!).

Alternative Wednesdays #7- Different Bouquets!

To go along with "mismatch week" I wanted to come up with something that was along the same line for this Alternative Wednesday.  What I came up with was mismatched bridesmaids bouquets!  You could do same flowers in different colors, different flowers in different colors, different flowers in similar shades of one color or the same type of flowers in different shades of one color.  I think that having each bridesmaid carry a bouquet of one of the flowers that make up your bouquet looks lovely.  There are tons of possibilities!  I really enjoy the personality and quirky-ness this detail adds to weddings.  Here are some examples I found:

Inspiration #58- Frog Prince [mismatched #3]

When I saw these bridesmaids dressed in royal purple and sage green it brought to mind the story of the frog prince, so that's what I based this board on. I love the photo with the groom holding the frog on his arm! The addition of sunflowers is sweet too.
