Monday Funday 19: High School Sweethearts

This board was inspired by this 80s high school sweethearts love shoot.  My sister and her husband were high school sweethearts and I think this is a great "theme" for a wedding!  I love the story telling invitation and the pendants!

Monday Funday 18: Vintage Gypsy Style

Fun board requests always excite me!!  The bride who requested this board wants to create a 1930s gypsy/carnival feel with an jewel-tone eggplant and dark teal color palette.  She also hoped to incorporate stars and tarot cards (used here as the escort cards).  There are a ton of great elements in this board, but I love the veil the most!  It definitely portrays that vintage gypsy feel.  The hanging umbrellas are just amazing too, and the use of vintage suitcases is the perfect touch.

Theme Thursday 33: Backyard Mexican Fiesta

I am having a rough week and really wanted to create something bright and fun, and right away I thought- fiesta!  So I created a colorful and semi-DIY board to share with you.  I love the use of paper flowers, the cute bridesmaids dresses and most of all the idea of a margarita bar.  Yum!  But my top favorite element of this board is the basket of flowers for your guests' hair.  How sweet, fun and easy is that?

Inspiration 194: Literately In Love

I <3 book-ish weddings.  I fell in love with the image in this board that has "programs" written out on the books and wanted to make another vintage book board.  Plus the idea of a haiku guest book is pretty awesome!  I like the idea of using pieces of pages as table numbers and I simply adore the bookcase ceremony backdrop.

Monday Funday 15: Owl Always Love You

How cute are these owl cake toppers?  I always loved the real wedding I posted (check it out here) that had an owl theme  and wanted to make an owl themed inspiration board.  I went with a natural color palette or bronze, craft paper, forest green, chocolate brown and light gold.  Love the owl ring too, it would make a cute gift for your bridesmaids!  I have a thing for high-low hem dresses suddenly, they are awesome for showing off fun shoes.  And the bridesmaids carrying lanterns?  Genius!

Inspiration 191: Parisian Spring Wedding

Oh Paris, you really inspire me.  I saw this lovely this lovely Paris inspired table set-up and sweet French macaroon cake and wanted to make a Paris inspired board.  I've made a vintage Parisian board before, but this time I went with a lavender and green spring board!  Also, I think a crepe station would be a great and delicious way to end the night.

Monday Funday 14: Safari Style

On My Fair Wedding I saw David Tutera create a safari themed wedding, which I thought was fun!  To keep this from being too over the top I kept the color palette to khaki, black and white.  I love the animal print shoes, the safari style bridesmaids dress and the get away jeep in this board.

Theme Thursday 29: Shabby Chic Garden Tea!

I never get sick of tea party weddings!  They just seem like so much fun.  I just saw a cute idea where you could give away the vintage tea cups you collect to use as a favor!  Then every time your guests use them they will think of you and your wedding, which is super sweet.

Inspiration #163- Bold Red and Gold

Red and gold are definitely a beautifully bold color palette to work with.  The bride who requested this board also wanted to incorporate some blue, to help her color palette work with her venue which has a lot of blue.  I incorporated small amounts of blue into the flowers and also think giving the men red and blue striped ties would help incorporate it in a subtle way.  She also wanted to elegantly incorporate a "message in a bottle" theme being that is how her fiance proposed!  I used "message in a bottle" escort bottles, bottle candlestick holders and a message in a bottle guest book in this board for a few ideas.

Monday Funday #6: Blue Suede Shoes!

Well, this was going to be my entry into My Island Weddings inspiration board contest but then I got super busy and never got to post it! But, here it is now! I did a Graceland themed board, using blue (for Blue Suede shoes) and bubble gum pink (for Elvis's pink Cadillac). I also went for a Priscilla inspired dress, and peanut butter and banana finger sandwiches! What do you think?

Real Wedding Love: Toby and Amy's Owl Themed Wedding

My heart just melted when I saw these wedding photos!  I was randomly checking out the Amorology blog (which belongs to the MOST amazing wedding designer Heather), and ran across Toby and Amy's gorgeous and fun wedding.  Plus, their wedding colors are the same as I have picked out!  My favorite touch were all the owl inspired signs, I especially liked the tags on the lollipop favors that read:  "Owl love you forever."  This wedding is just so inspiring to me and I hope it inspires you as well.  All photos by Jason McGrew via Amorology

ps- Heather also took care of Aaron and Pernel's wedding, which was another real wedding I blogged about... I just found out when I was checking out her blog!

Inspiration #11- Two zebras are talking and one asks the other, "Am I black with white stripes or white with black stripes?"

I got my first request for an inspiration board, I am so excited! Marta asked me to create a black and white striped board to help convince her fiancee that it would be a great theme for their wedding. This is an awesome theme and can work all year round, plus you could add any accent color you wanted! Here you go Marta, I hope this helps you out:
