Inspiraion 215: Modern Whimsy

I think the bouquet in this board is just so whimsical, but modern at the same time.  So I took that idea and ran with it to create this board.  The zig-zag table runner is definitely fun & modern and the abstract cake is a unique touch.

Alternative Wednesday #19: Skirts for Bridesmaids!

If you want to give your  bridesmaids a modern look that they can wear again (and probably again and again and again...)-- dress them in stylish skirts!  It is also an affordable option with endless choices as far as colors, patterns and styles.  You can create a fun and flirty look, a classy look or a preppy look... the sky's the limit!

Engagement Inspiration: Meagan & Jared's Stylish and Fun Engagement Shoot

Inspiration 196: Bouquet Inspired

A great way to come up with a color palette if you are a bit stuck is to decide on what flowers you want in your bouquet and build from there.  I posted this bouquet a while back and decided to create a board from it.  This bouquet had a bit of a vintage feel to me and I really love the color palette with the combination of the soft pink and the bright yellow and orange.

Real Wedding: Chris & Kendra's Cute Green Gingham Wedding

I was stuck on gingham this week and this wedding really shows how to incorporate it without going over the top.   Plus, you know that I have a true love for mismatched bridesmaid's looks and now I'm noticing that more weddings are incorporating a few colors in the bridesmaids dress selections.  This raspberry, pale pink, red and green color palette is awfully lovely too.  I love all of the amazing DIY details too, see the rest of the wedding here on Steep Street Photography's blog.

Inspiration 177: Darling Dahlias

Dahlias are absolutely my favorite flowers.  I love how big and bountiful they are, and the different layers of petals.  So today I have a monochromatic pink dahlia board for you!

Monday Funday #9- Fly Away With Me...

How much fun is this board? I was inspired by this really great hot air balloon dessert table I spotted on The Sweetest Occasion and the hot air balloon honeymoon pictures from Jose Villa.  I just knew I had to make a board filled with great hot air balloon elements.

Inspiration #130- Shadework

Balloons, mismatched bridesmaids, and bow ties! I'm loving the colors in this board lately, especially the magenta-ish purple! The touches of yellow are fun too, I love the sunny element yellow brings to any color palette.

Tuesday Engagement Inspiration #9- I want to fly away... [100th post!]

This is my 100th post on this blog, woot!! I first saw these engagement shots on Caroline Tran's blog awhile back (even before I started this blog) and fell in love with them. It's such a simple idea but the pictures turn out so cute and playful! So grab a balloon and your fiance and take some pictures. I think these would work great for table numbers or be fabulous for save the dates (much like Joanna from A Cup of Jo did)!
