Monday Funday #6: Blue Suede Shoes!

Well, this was going to be my entry into My Island Weddings inspiration board contest but then I got super busy and never got to post it! But, here it is now! I did a Graceland themed board, using blue (for Blue Suede shoes) and bubble gum pink (for Elvis's pink Cadillac). I also went for a Priscilla inspired dress, and peanut butter and banana finger sandwiches! What do you think?

Inspiration #133- New Zealand Picnic!

Sorry I have been MIA! Work has been hectic but I'm going to try to get back into posting. I've been working on requests and this is my most recent. This bride asked for a board with a garden picnic, hippy feel to it. They want to use dried lavender (lavender lemonade, yum!), baby's breath and maybe some roses from the market as flowers. I like the idea of the bridesmaids wearing a fun sundress (like the one in this board which is from Urban Outfitters!). They are also going to have a homemade sweets table, a Mexican food truck and use vintage china. The bride mentioned that she loved ribbon and lace so I thought a ribbon board would be awesome for the place cards. As for the hippy/vintage feel, I think an old record player would be a great detail! One other fun detail on this board, hanging vintage picture frames from a tree for take fun photos!

Inspiration #132- Sangria!

I love this Sangria (as David's Bridal calls it) shade of pink! The bride who requested this board is having an October wedding with Sangria bridesmaids dresses. She wants to use shades of pink and purple for the flowers and use pink/purple orchids. I also thought it would be fun to serve Sangria as the signature drink.

Inspiration #131- Oregon Coast Wedding

The bride who requested this board is having a beach wedding but doesn't want a beach theme. Her colors are going to be chocolate, cream, dandelion, aqua and sage green. She wants the feel of the wedding to be a relaxed, country-ish, southern Sunday dinner.

Inspiration #130- Shadework

Balloons, mismatched bridesmaids, and bow ties! I'm loving the colors in this board lately, especially the magenta-ish purple! The touches of yellow are fun too, I love the sunny element yellow brings to any color palette.

Favorite Photo Friday #17- Urban Jungle

There are many elements that I love about this photo. First off, I'm enchanted by the contrast of the urban, garage type building with their formal attire. Of course, I adore the mismatched bridesmaids dresses and I equally love that the groomsmen are just in vests.

Theme Thursday #22- Scrabble!

I'm really loving all these quirky, kitchsy touches I've been finding lately! The use of scrabble tiles as a wedding element is ingenious. I especially love it as a place marker for smaller weddings.

Inspiration #129- Chalk & Pearls

Ok, I have to admit I have a new crush... on chalkboards elements in weddings! I think they are such a fun, inexpensive, unexpected and eco-friendly touch! Pearls are a very classic element so I decided to combine them with the modern touch of chalkboards to come up with this board.

Inspiration #128- First Signs of Spring

I love spotting the first signs of spring! There is so much beauty to be found in the first few robins and daffodils that you find, knowing that the lovely spring weather is here to stay. This inspiration board uses sunny daffodil yellow and soft robin's egg blue for its color palette.

These boards were requested by a bride who is trying to decide on which accent color to use. So do you prefer navy + gray with kelly green accents or navy + gray with hot pink accents?

Inspiration #125- Bay Side Wedding

Wow, I can't believe I've created 125 (well really more since I don't count the theme Thursday or Monday fun day boards!) inspiration boards!! I'm thinking about having another give away when I reach 150 so stay tuned for that :]

Anyway, this is a requested board for a bride getting married in Morro Bay who didn't want to go with a beach-y theme. Her color palette is gray and blush pink and I thought adding some pearl jewelry would be a fun hint at beachy-ness without being theme-y.

Inspiration #123- How Sweet it is

I went with a sweet treat theme for this board after seeing this on Style Me Pretty. I stuck with their aqua and red color scheme while adding a few pops of pink along the way!

Monday Funday #3- Christian Dior Runway Inspired

I definitely adore this color scheme! Bright pink, turquoise and black really pop together! I am also a big fan of the small hints of black and white patterns found in this board.

Inspiration #122- Peach, Gray and Cerulean

This was a requested board :] The bride wanted to use pale peach and shades of gray with hints of cerulean blue. She also wants to incorporate a slight 50s flair, which I think the wedding dress in this board really fits.

Inspiration #121- Cold Hands, Warm Heart

This board was inspired by the cute snowmen picture in the bottom left corner found on I Heart Love. It's really fun to find inspiring images that aren't directly related to weddings and make a board around them! I went with a snow white, dusty pink, champagne and gold color scheme for this board and I think it turned out great! I'd love to hear your thoughts/comments/feedback :]

Bouquet Love #3!

Loving all the colors and flowers used in these bouquets and the centerpiece too. They just feel like spring to me! I also love the brides birdcage veil and one strapped dress.

Monday Funday #2- Invitation Inspired

This board was inspired by the whimsy and colors of an invitation created by The Wedding Paper Divas. What do you think? I love the colors, patterned bridesmaids dress and the brides fun turquoise jewelry!

Inspiration #120- Thumbprint Tree

One of my favorite guestbook ideas out there right now is the thumbprint tree, so I made a board off a very cute one I spotted. I'm also loving this combination of kelly green and rich jewel tone purple. I think this color scheme would work well in any season!

Favorite Photo Friday #13- Something Beachy

New Jersey is covered in snow, again. It's getting to be a bit much so I thought I'd share something beachy to cheer me (and anyone else that's sick of snow) up! And check out the fun outfits the groom and his groomsmen wore!

Monday Funday #1- Gold and Green Party!

I felt like making a fun and funky board and here is what I came up with. Lime green, gold and black is definitely a fun color palette to work with. I like the idea of the bridesmaids wearing gold sequin dresses with black tights and carrying lime green bouquets. My favorite elements of this board are the picture frame photo booth and the brides tights!

Quoteable Sundays #1- Yellow, Black and White Rainy Day Wedding

I'm adding a new feature! Every Sunday (or at least I'll try to make it every Sunday) I will be posting a board inspired by a quote. So here's the first one for today! It works with a yellow and black and white color scheme.

Favorite Photo Friday #12- Walking in a Winter Wonderland...

Last week us Northeastern folk were hit by a boatload of snow! And while I'm pretty tired of looking at it I couldn't help falling in love with these images shot by the lovely Jessica Claire. There is just so much to love in these picture sets, the grooms sweater vest, how the bright colors really POP against the soft white snow or the brides stunning dress and head piece... along with every other element of this shoot!

Inspiration #118- Modern Vintage Eggplant and Slate Wedding

If you read through my posts you will notice that I have a soft spot for all things vintage. The bride who requested this board asked for one that was modern vintage inspired and worked with the color scheme of eggplant and slate with hints of olive green. Here's my interpretation of her request:

Theme Thursdauy #18- Vintage Brooches

When I saw these bouquets made out of vintage flower brooches I knew I had to make a board out of them! They are just too lovely to be ignored. They work great on a headband, as place cards or even for a boutonniere!

Inspiration #116- Will she pick pink or orange?

Hi everyone! I've missed blogging, so I'm back! I know it's been awhile but I plan on blogging regularly again so if I still have any readers out there I hope you will all start reading and commenting again :]
Anyway, I received a request from a bride who couldn't decide which color to match up with charcoal for her October wedding. She originally wanted pink but didn't know if it would work for her autumn wedding so she asked to see two boards, one with pink and one with orange. Her dress has a full tulle skirt and her husband-to-be will be wearing a black suit. So which do you prefer?
