Inspiration 221: Kumquat and Vintage Teal

Teal is my favorite color, I just can't get enough of it!  I went with a deep vintage teal for this board and paired it with fun, bright kumquat orange.  The bouquets in this board are all so gorgeous and I love the button detail on the cake!

Inspiration 218: Raspberry and Green Apple

Raspberry pink has stolen my heart!  I love that it's so bright and cheerful without being over the top.  Raspberry pairs well with many colors but for this board I paired it with spring and apple green.  I feel this board has a slightly preppy feel.

Real Wedding: Beth & Jamie's Elegant Rustic Colorado Wedding

This wedding really portrays rustic elegance throughout all of the elements.  Their cake is simply beautiful and I love the current trend of the "bride" and "groom" signs on the back of the chairs at the reception.  Of course, the couple is totally adorable too!  Thanks to Christina Kiffney Photography for sharing this pretty wedding.

Inspiration 208: Charmingly Southern

I wanted to revisit the peach and navy color scheme but I wanted to do something a bit different.  So I went Southern with this board!  I also incorporated lots of fresh fruit elements and pretty peach bouquets.

Theme Thursday #27: Tuscany, Revisited

I have made a few Tuscan inspired boards before but this is one of my favorites.  I love the combination of eggplant and sunflowers!  The bride who requested this board wants to have a vintage feel to her wedding and incorporate lots of sunflowers, grapes and wine.  I really like the idea of using grapes in the centerpiece, it really ties in the eggplant color the bridesmaids will be wearing.

Alternative Wednesdays #12- Farmer's Market Wedding Favors

I have a fun and eco-friendly favor idea for you today!  Edible favors are definitely a hot trend but why not go with some local produce?  It's affordable, easy to DIY, good for the environment and supports your local economy... plus it gives out of town guests a taste of your hometown.  And if local produce isn't available (which is possible for cold weather states in the winter months) you could always go with locally made jam or honey.  I think the last example I posted is really cute, a small jar of honey and some homemade or locally made granola!  Also loving the third option where they offered strawberries, locally baked bread and fresh cut flowers with a handmade tote to carry them all in!

Inspiration #149- A Very Round Board

This color combo is another one that was suggested in the contest entries.  I decided to have a little fun with it and incorporate a circle 'theme' along with the orange, aqua and blue color palette!

Inspiration #113- Figs and Cherries

This is a lovely color combo, and I think it would be a great alternative to the traditional fall colors. The contrast of the deep purple and the bright red definitely pops, and would work in any season. This is my second to last request from the contest requests and was a great suggestion!

Inspiration #105- Pomegranate and Peach Rustic Wedding

Fall is on it's way, and it brings with it some lovely late summer/ early fall color palettes. I am really liking this burgundy and peach combo! This board was created for a bride who is planning a barn wedding that incorporates fruit and wood into a lot of the elements. I'm definitely in love with fruit centerpieces (maybe pomegranates and peaches? or cranberries?) and the carved wood table numbers.

Theme Thursday #12- Earth Friendly Farmer's Market Wedding

I know I haven't really been posting my daily features but I promise they will be back! I've been super busy trying to catch up on all my requests and I'm trying to get them done as quickly as possible. If you requested one, don't worry! It's on the way :]

This board doesn't have a specific color scheme, but it certainly has a theme! I'm calling it Farmer's Market Chic. There's lots of fresh herbs (as favors, escort cards and even a wreath!), fruit and vegetables incorporated into the centerpieces and farmers market (or in the case of the bouquet used in the board, supermarket) bouquets transformed into beautifully chic wedding party bouquets. There is a great photo set on how to change supermarket bouquets into wedding day bouquets on Real Simple.
