Engagement Inspiration: Lauren & Dan's City Park Session

Lauren and Dan just radiate love!  I love their classic casual style, and how by looking at the pictures you probably couldn't guess they were in the middle of New York City.  By the way, hand holding pictures are one of my favorite shots... such a simple gesture that means so much.

Inspiration 240: Rustic Peacock and Orange

This board is for a bride who wanted to combine a city and country feel into her wedding using peacock blue and orange as the color palette and incorporating feathers and pearls.  I think the bouquet in this board is spot on with the orchids and peacock feathers!  The clutch would be a great city chic touch for the bridesmaids to carry.

Inspiration 229: City Loft

Loft weddings are so chic and modern.  For this board I kept the color palette classy with black, white and exposed brick.  Fancy white calligraphy on black paper really adds a modern pop and the long centerpieces down the whole table are very chic.  Loving the skyline backdrop too, so simple but a fun twist!

Monday Funday 16- Skylines and Rooftops: a (500) Days of Summer Wedding

(500) Days of Summer is my favorite movie, and when I saw this (500) Days of Summer wedding shoot on Sarah Yates blog I knew I was going to make a board inspired by it!  For the wedding gown, I went with something short with a blue bow to reflect the dress Summer wore to the wedding in the movie.  I love that at the shoot they incorporated a pancake buffet, so yummy sounding.  How about blue printed dresses like the one Summer wore at her rooftop party for your bridesmaids?  And don't forget the skylines and chalkboards!

Inspiration #156- Purple and Gray City Inspired Wedding

The girl who contacted me to make this board is actually a friend of the bride, how nice of her to help her out!  The bride wants to use a range of purples and a gray color palette.  She loves the architecture of her city (Pittsburgh) and wants to incorporate elements of that into her wedding.  Using the skyline on your paper products is a nice way to do that, and a wedding map is a fun touch as well.  Also, that bridge looks like an awesome place to get some great wedding portraits!

Inspiration #141- Winter Wonderland Fun

I was contacted by a slightly confused/overwhelmed bride for an inspiration board. She had a lot of ideas on what she and her fiance liked but not a clear vision for her wedding. So I came up with a board focusing on some of the elements she wanted to incorporate including Christmas, winter wonderland, red and purple. She also mentioned that she liked urban settings like factories and old buildings and I think that this bright palette would really pop in a venue like that. Plus, purple is a fun twist to add into a Christmas-y wedding, especially one taking place in Texas!

Favorite Photo Friday #17- Urban Jungle

There are many elements that I love about this photo. First off, I'm enchanted by the contrast of the urban, garage type building with their formal attire. Of course, I adore the mismatched bridesmaids dresses and I equally love that the groomsmen are just in vests.

Theme Thursday #21- Viva Las Vegas!

Being that I spent last weekend in Vegas for my best friends birthday I thought it was fitting to have a Vegas themed board! I especially love the custom playing card favors and the save the date!

Inspiration #39- Country meets City

This bride wanted a board done in red and white with touches of royal blue. She also wants her wedding to reflect personalities (he's a country boy and she's a city girl.) I think an elegant dress, posh cocktails and butler passed candies bring that city feel. To add some country elements, I think taking pictures in front of a red barn and having berries on your cake can add a subtle touch of country.
