Today's favorite photo was found on Erin Hearts Court. I just adore fun shots like this! Love the brides shoes too (so much so that I needed a second shot of them! Love the Chucks too of course.) Click the link to see the rest of this gorgeous wedding.

Inspiration #29- Borrowing colors from Fall...
Orange and chocolate brown are a very popular color combo for fall weddings, but I think they can work in the spring/summer too! Just use a pop of sky blue and dress the men in tan suits to brighten them up!

Inspiration #28- The grass is always greener...
I love the look of wheatgrass for centerpieces or trays of wheatgrass to hold place cards. That's where I drew my inspiration for this board. Eco-friendly weddings are gaining in popularity and one of my favorite ideas for a wedding favor is a plantable one (seeds, a sapling or a potted succulent or flower.) What do you think?
Theme Thursday #4- Yummy Alternatives
Not a cake person? Try out some of these alternatives! Milk and cookies, Hostess (or other favorite dessert) wedding "cake," Rice Krispy mini cakes, mini (or full size!) pies and cheesecake, chocolate fondue, ice cream sundae buffet, fancy chocolate covered fruit and parfaits all make great replacements for a traditional cake.

Alternative Wednesdays #1- Bridesmaids Dresses
Another new weekly feature! While working on my themed board for tomorrow, I decided that I really like the idea of incorporating alternatives to "normal" wedding decor, dresses, etc. So every Wednesday there will be a post on some alternatives to different wedding elements.
The first post will focus on bridesmaids dresses not found at bridal shops, they are usually more affordable (yay!) and there is more variety when it comes to sizes. Here are some I love:
Inspiration #27- Make it Pop!
This was another requested board, I really like this color combo though. Blue and fuchsia really pop together! The bride mentioned that the men will be wearing white tuxes as well. Table decor and boutonniere images were found on The Wedding Chicks (check out the link for the rest of the blue and fuchsia wedding they came from!)

Inspiration #26- Purple Tulips
I received a request for a purple and white board. The bride wants to incorporate tulips into her outside reception. She also plans to wear a short white dress that's not necessarily a wedding dress. The dress used in this board is from White House Black Market. What do you think of what I came up with?
Tuesday Engagement Inspiration #3
I absolutely adore these engagement photos! What a fun idea to take some old (or not so old) furniture outside for some interesting and edgy shots.
Inspiration #25- Love grows here...

I got a request for a board that incorporated peacock feathers and cobalt blue with cream roses. This is what I came up with, hope you enjoy it!

Inspiration #23- Champagne Wishes, Pale Pink Dreams
If I wanted a really fancy wedding dress I'd want it to look like the champagne colored one in this board, made by La Sposa. This board is pure elegance! I think the pale pink really brightens up the champagne and mocha color scheme.

Favorite Photo Friday #3- Beach Picnic!
This wedding looks like it was so much fun! You should really check it out, you can find it on Jonathan Canlas' blog.
This is my favorite photo though:
Inspiration #22- Sunshine and Apples
This board was inspired by the apple and yellow rose cake I found on Bridal Guide. I love the idea of small apples as place cards, they also make nice centerpieces too! You could even have appletinis as your signature drink. The color palette for this one is gray, apple green and yellow.
Theme Thursday #3- Under the Tuscan Sun
Today's themed board is an Italian countryside wedding. I think this theme can be translated as elegant (fancy italian food, lots of gold details) or a little bit more fun (like having gourmet pizza for the meal!). Fancy or locally made olive oil would make a great favor too!The color scheme is red, olive green and gold.

Inspiration #21- The best thing to hold onto in life is each other
How about an Audrey Hepburn quote? This inspiration board is all about vintage Hollywood glamour. The colors are pretty simple but I think details are more important to really pull off an old Hollywood style wedding. I love the idea of using old movie stills or movie stars as table numbers. Of course renting a vintage car and having your reception in an old movie theater are gorgeous touches as well. The bouquet photo is from Jennifer Creed.
Inspiration #20- Coral Reef
As you've probably figured out by now I am really into bright color combos. Today's inspiration comes from the Great Barrier Reef. The colors are bold blue, coral and bright pink.. what do you think?

Favorite Photo Friday #2- Two for Two
I have two favorite photos for today. Both pictures are from the blog of wedding photographer Erin Michelle. The first photo is a favorite because the decorations are amazingly beautiful and romantic. In the second picture, I absolutely love the detail of the brides dress. It's different and gorgeous. Enjoy!
Inspiration #18- lemons and limes and oranges, oh my!
I was inspired by a wedding I found on Stephanie Williams photography blog of a citrus inspired wedding. The bright colors and citrus fruit centerpieces are so much fun. Lemonade packets would make an excellect favor! This is what I came up with:

Theme Thursday #2- Starlight, Star bright, make a wedding wish tonight...
I was very busy yesterday, sorry this is late! This Thursday theme is star themed weddings! The colors are royal blue and gold, with star accents and lots of candles. A sparkler send off would also be great with this theme! I can see this being very romantic and whimsical.

Inspiration #17- Aqua, Red and Orange
I also got a request for an aqua, red and orange inspiration board. She also wanted to incorporate gerbera daisies, this one was tough but I like what I came up with:
Inspiration #16- Clover and Black
I got a request for a clover and black themed inspiration board... this is what I came up with, enjoy!
Inspiration #15- Lace and Pewter
I think Lace and Pewter are one of the most elegant and romantic combinations. The dark silver of the pewter and the softness of the lace just look so beautiful together, check out the inspiration board:

In honor of Mother's Day I made an inspiration board based on my mom's wedding colors- cranberry and pink. Enjoy!

Inspiration #12- Something old, Something new, Something borrowed, Something...PINK?
Pink is one of the most popular wedding colors. It works well with almost any other color, its romantic and feminine, and there are a million different shades! Plus, there are a ton of choices when it comes to flowers. The bride and groom cake topper is from MissAvocado on etsy. This board is inspired by a shade I like to call cotton candy pink:
Inspiration #11- Two zebras are talking and one asks the other, "Am I black with white stripes or white with black stripes?"
I got my first request for an inspiration board, I am so excited! Marta asked me to create a black and white striped board to help convince her fiancee that it would be a great theme for their wedding. This is an awesome theme and can work all year round, plus you could add any accent color you wanted! Here you go Marta, I hope this helps you out:

Favorite Photo Friday- Colorful Bridesmaids!
This is going to be another weekly post that I'm going to do on Inspiring Brides. Favorite Photo Friday will be a post that has my favorite inspiring picture I found for the week. I love this photo because it has such an array of colors but the work together beautifully!
Inspiration #10- I keep screaming for that glass of lemonade
This board has nothing to do with lemonade. But, it does have to do with melon and those are Blind Melon lyrics. OK, I know its corny shh. Two "food" inspired posts in one day?! I must secretly be hungry. Like I said this one is all about melon, the palette is watermelon, cantaloupe and honeydew! I just adore these carved melons, check them out:
Inspiration #9- Some things just go together...
like ketchup and mustard! Maybe I was hungry when I was making this board? I'm not sure, but this color combination is certainly summery. It reminds me of a barbeque (even though I'm a vegetarian!) The bowtie is from etsy seller Pinch and Pull and the little hamburger is actually a cupcake!

Inspiration #8- With a sky blue sky...
Who doesn't love big blue skies? I wanted to do something using sky blue and bright summery color so I went with magenta. Lately, I am REALLY in love with grey suits so I made that the third color for this board. The gorgeous hair piece was made by Twigs & Honey on etsy. Here's the board I came up with:
Theme Thursday- Anywhere you go, I'll follow you there...
So, I've decided that each Thursday I will do something a little different. There will be a "themed" post that may or may not relate to weddings. I thought it would be a nice way to break up the color themed posts. The theme for this week is a travel themed bridal shower. I think this is a great idea being that a lot of people are having destination weddings. You can make the invitations look like passports or plane tickets and the favors could be luggage tags or passport covers. You could also theme it around where the couple is going on their honeymoon or having their wedding and include some of the food and decor from the destination. Another great idea is to make the wishing well out of a suitcase, I think that would look very cute. Here's the travel shower board:
